Our History

Our story begins with a young engineer who filled his free time by helping out friends and neighbors with their computer and automation needs. Who knew fate was knocking at the door the day someone asked him if he could computerize printing of collection cards? The rest is history—our history! After nearly four decades in business, our core philosophy is still the same—helping our customers (who are truly like friends and neighbors to us!) automate their business needs using the latest technology.

    1980

  • Dan Hornung founds ROYDAN Enterprises, Ltd. in Manitowoc WI
  • Dan began working with several local businesses to automate their accounting systems and provide equipment and technical expertise

    1983–1989

  • First computerized debt collection solution introduced—Collection Agency Manager
  • Dan began working with several local businesses to automate their accounting systems and provide equipment and technical expertise
  • Expanded collection system—Collection Connection—adds automation and more functionality
  • Roydan expands customer base to include collection agencies outside of Wisconsin
  • Roydan introduces new software brand—Collection 2000—to the mass market

    1990–1994

  • Roydan holds first user meeting
  • Roydan develops integrated dialing services including auto-dialing and predictive dialing
  • Roydan begins integrating with third-party vendors to introduce additional collection automation

    1998–1999

  • Roydan introduces Bloodhound® collection software brand
  • Document Imaging feature is introduced
  • New Check Imaging option allows user to scan checks received for collection and import the images and MICR information into Bloodhound

    2000–2004

  • Client Web Link, Roydan's first client web portal application, is released
  • Roydan begins offering cloud hosting services
  • New check collection suite of products includes check verification, RCK, check guarantee, and check-by-phone
  • Roydan moves to new office/corporate headquarters

    2005–2010

  • New Bloodhound Click-to-Collect® feature streamlines tasks for collectors for greater efficiency and consistency
  • Roydan welcomes first international customers
  • New Debtor Web Link product allows debtors to make debt collection payments online
  • Dialing product selection expands with integrated Call Recording, hosted Predictive Dialer, and hosted VOIP phone system offerings
  • Partnership with ISCorp provides technical support and hosting services to customers
  • Roydan introduces integrated message dialing service

    2013–2016

  • ClientConnect, ViewPoint, and CallCommand branded products are introduced
  • Roydan launches blog to share helpful debt collection industry tips and announcements
  • Roydan corporate structure grows to incorporate key staff as co-owners
  • Addition of LocalTouch® functionality enhances CallCommand dialing products
  • New industry partnerships offer expanded compliance services
  • Contact Tracker provides enhanced tracking of consumer contact information and ability to disable phone numbers from being called

    2017

  • Roydan launches next version of ViewPoint product that offers data replication and enhanced reporting capabilities
